Celebrate the Great Vic Bike Ride’s 40th Anniversary

This year is the 40th anniversary of the rolling cycling festival that is the Great Vic Bike Ride. To mark this huge milestone Bicycle Network is bringing it back to where it all began in 1984 with the ultimate 501km social cycle trip through Victoria’s High Country from Saturday 23 November to Sunday 1 December 2024.

Cycle iconic landscapes during the day and be entertained in the evenings at the moving camp village with live music, yoga, an outdoor cinema, the Spokes Bar and much more. Choose from the nine, five or three day ride option and book before Sunday 18 August 2024 to snap up an early bird deal.

Planning Your Ride

Bicycle Network have got you covered from start to finish with a fully planned route, moving camp village and everything you need so you can focus on the ride. All riders are welcomed with road bikes, hybrid bikes and mountain bikes hitting the tarmac side-by-side.

Grab your bike and cycling kit, pack your sleeping gear, pocket your snacks and enjoy all-inclusive packages including meals, pre-booked camping spots, luggage transfers, on-route support and nightly entertainment. Route Highlights

Weaving through Victoria’s High Country, the Great Vic Bike Ride will take you past some of the most stunning scenery and charming towns the region has to offer. Highlights include:

  • Yackandandah & Myrtleford – Cycle from Wodonga through charming Yackandandah to Italian heritage filled Myrtleford via rolling hills. Stop to stroll Yackandandah‘s artisan shops and at night sample Myrtleford‘s top-notch pizza and wine.

  • Mansfield – Ride through quintessential Australian landscapes from Wangaratta to Mansfield nestled in the foothills of the Great Dividing Range. There’s a rest day built in at Mansfield so you can explore even more of the vibrant towns riding or check out the area’s local produce, art, hiking and more.
